About the university:

The Romanian-American University was founded with the purpose of promoting the American progressive educational values combined with the rich internationally recognized academic traditions of the Romanian educational system.

The strategic vision of RAU is to become a truly international University with a global focus in education, research and services to community.

Romanian-American University organizes each semester guest courses with international professors from partner universities from USA or Europe. Moreover, RAU students have the opportunity to study abroad for 1 semester or 1 year (in USA, Europe, Asia…) or to have summer internships abroad at partner companies.

Each year, RAU organizes two international summer schools (“International Summer School”– with University of Alabama in Huntsville and “International Summer School in Travel, Tourism and Aviation”).

Romanian-American University frequently organizes international conferences, round tables and academic projects, connecting students with professionals from the business environment.

RAU has an IATA Authorized Training Center, preparing the next generation of professionals in tourism and aviation, as well as an Asian studies department, allowing students to learn Chinese, Japanese or Korean and discover the Asian culture. The Microsoft Innovation Center is also at the disposal of those interested in applied informatics.

The university also has a modern on-campus dormitory connected directly to the academic building, as well as a restaurant-cafeteria, a coffee place and a fitness centre.
